Tuesday the 1st            Welcome July!  This week is all about the 4th with its celebrations and reverence for our Founding Fathers and their big vision for the nation.  Today things are rather slow at work unless you are in retail.  This week, particularly Wednesday on, there’s a collective push to spend.  For today, there’s a collective inertia around work.  Any distraction will suffice.  Why not turn your attention to the big picture that helps you look beyond the inanity to the goal.

Wednesday the 2nd      Jupiter the indulgent planet faces Venus.  These two know how you should be pampered and who to invite who’ll indulge your ego in every way. It’s good to set things up ahead of time. This day is a mixture of urgency and indulgence.  Everyone wants to get an appointment at once, wise planners have your slot at the salon already booked.  I expect big sales for the holiday and lots of folks out shopping.  The general mood is upbeat, but that urgency might be a little overblown.

Thursday the 3rd          The Holiday begins with a joyful sound of laughter.  The Moon crosses Venus and Jupiter and the world seems a little more playful. Everyone is interested in the food to come and how you’ll look good eating it! The transit begins this morning, so get up and out.  Everywhere you turn folks are reaching out to one another.  The evening was made for a party and it doesn’t stop for days.

Friday the 4th               Happy Independence day:  Time to read the Declaration of Independence one more time; then make up your own.  Now, read it into your mirror.  What   do you believe in?  What would you fight for?  Are you independent in some way?  The tube is filled with patriotic stories and we are ready to listen. What better way to create a positive America, than to feed your spirit with the best stories about her? But most of all we feel liberated.  There is always fear surrounding the big gatherings, but my sense is we will be safe and happy and ready to help the Midwest. Politicians offer exciting speeches for the past and future. Take a little time to listen and if you can, take in a parade just to see who celebrates being us.

Saturday the 5th           It’s the long weekend and folks enjoy time together. This is a playful weekend.  Find some way to bring the child in you out.

Sunday the 6th             The mental planet, Mercury, moves into Gemini where he is very productive.  Notice little stirrings of the ol’ neurons then keep them hopping as they grow stronger throughout the month.  This is a mixed blessing. It can be wonderful for problem solving, but very problematic if you’re prone to mental chatter and worse if you get caught up in the mood swings of Mars and Saturn: the planets of reaction and frustration.  Remember, to keep them in balance do something for others on a regular basis. But do keep moving Mars with a

tangible goal in mind, Saturn.  Just putting something in order really helps the mood lift, but best of all is practical service to another.

Monday the 7th            It’s hard to get going this morning, there’s too much to share from weekend adventures and romance is a hot topic on this hot day.  But jog in place if you have to so you can get going in some direction.  Once things start rolling they and you are hard to stop.  The tricky part is overcoming inertia this morning and it is big.

Tuesday the 8th            Double check your appointments and confirm any that might be miscontrued.  Mars is closing in on Saturn and folks are more than a little moody.  It’s rather like a collective PMS.  Tension and miscommunication run just beneath the surface and it doesn’t take much to set it off.  Humor helps a lot but so does compassion.  You know what it feels like to be so wound up over something petty.  Be patient with the folks who lose the joy of the day to something out of their control.  I know, it’s really annoying to be around folks so irritable and self righteous.  Don’t give them more of your time or thoughts than possible, but do be compassionate and civil.  They’ll get over it soon.  Politicians are doing anything to make it into the news and to fan the flames of fear.

Wednesday the 9th      The first Quarter Phase of the Moon.  The Sun and Moon are in very insightful and darned good lunar mansions for finding the good in people or situations.  That frustrating Mars Saturn combination lingers throughout the week and we are getting pretty tired of being irritated.  The antidote?  Rise above pettiness and show others the good stuff.  Once you start the trend others will follow in and we will literally be so bright that the energy comes back in the light.  Wait a minute, that’s the lunar mansion the Sun is in, Punarvasu, a return to the light.  The Moon is in Chitra, a hand holding a pearl.  Do you believe pearls can come out of random oysters?  Today we need to believe in the gifts of nature and luck.

Thursday the 10th        Meditation, prayer, chanting anything to raise your mental vibration helps everyone around you and throughout the collective.  Cynicism is a sort of inertia that costs us all dearly.  As Mars officially crosses Saturn, we consciously chose direct action of thought as well as body.  It’s a type of service we can offer each other anywhere and any time.  It does make a huge difference.  If you feel the pull downward into despair, pull out positive thoughts and list all that you can be grateful for… and share.

Friday the 11th             Just a few more days before the weight of the Mars / Saturn combination lifts.  For today, continue to take simple steps to move forward and do your best to avoid the emotional piranhas looking for fear.  This combination is often frustrating and it may be difficult to get up and go, but if you can acknowledge the inner tug of war but still push forward past any resistance you’ll be a beacon of productive light.  This is a deep moody time, not the best for a date, but tempting to drown in the wisdom of wine.  Sometimes a mood enhancer is the order of the cosmos *grins*

Saturday the 12th         Just when you get in a better mood, someone lands at your door like the reality police carrying flack jackets for you.  It’s only heavy if you take emotional protection to the extreme or carry someone else’s.  Today folks hope that someone strong will carry some weight for them.  This isn’t really about the future, just a moody today.  Remember that life, breath and the gift of your unique light in the universe of this realm and beyond is the richest gift of all.  When you drink it in you hold the light for others and there is no way they can weigh you down with fear

Sunday the 13th           Today is a turning point.  Specifically, tonight is the time when we start to feel the collective mood lift.  Tomorrow, the birds will be singing and the sky will be blue.  There are always folks going through difficult experiences and “lessons.”  As Mars pulls away from Saturn and the Moon triggers them late tonight and early tomorrow, we watch a shift and venture out.  Wise folks who have seen it come and go before realize that much of what we fear comes from the illusion that we are alone.

Monday the 14th          Get up and get going.  Folks at work are in a better mood and even the News is brighter…more hopeful.  I know, some folks are holding onto that PMSie state.  Just smile big and transform the room before you even enter it by sending good will before you.  Today, and this week, the innocent joy of childhood is transformation.

Tuesday the 15th          A playful morning.  Restore a little faith and belief in the “invisible realm” and you are in the flow again.  Dig down deep for words that inspire and actions that tell the world that you have Faith.  We are rebuilding, even if the Market looks glum, the cycle has begun.  Stimulate the good stuff with a passionate good morning to all you meet.  Your vibrancy is just the amulet to transform gray into gold.  By evening, the Moon pulls over Pluto and we remember what we learned during the first quarter of the year.  It may have been a heavy lesson, but today we find the glimmer of gold to carry us forward.

Wednesday the 16th    Ideas are popping today and everywhere we turn folks are talking.  Mercury pulls up to face Jupiter in the heavens.  These two face the issues and inspire us with words and economic plans.  This is building tonight as the Moon faces Mercury, then carries the momentum for two full weeks until she crosses Mercury in the heavens.  This is how we think and talk and envision something bigger for the future.  Are in you in?

Thursday the 17th        Get up and get out there.  There is much to be done and your excitement for the future is a great gift to everyone you meet…and greet.  This isn’t a parlor game, but the business of creating prosperity and possibility.  It may take some monumental effort, but it’s worth it.  Expect big speeches from Obama and McCain as they carry the nation forward.  It really isn’t about the separate candidates, but about the needs of a nation and two who make themselves available to lead.  I know, it’s hard to imagine the “other” candidate in this role, and you really don’t need to make that stretch.  Just make yourself available to be part of the coming tide of rebirth then let the election sort things out in November.  Now it’s all about creation and trust in a bigger plan.

Friday the 18th             The Full Moon comes at 3am.  The Sun and Moon fall in lunar mansions that deal with the bigger picture.  In fact, they are about light, wisdom universal virtue and success.  As we look into the night sky, we see the magic and beauty of the moon’s light…and we know that light is everywhere.  Carry this knowledge with you through out the day.  You can’t help but enjoy each person and each moment when bathe in the light of rebirth.  Whenever you need a little more, just take a deep breath and breathe in the light of that sweet moon and you become her quasar.

Saturday the 19th         A busy and abundant day in the heavens.  Everywhere you turn you see folks who are resilient and determined.  It’s as if we crossed the bottom and are on our collect way up.  Today, the Moon triggers Venus Mars and Mercury making a giant slingshot configuration in the heavens.  It starts at 7am and completes at 6:30pm CDT.  This is a great combination to set something in action.  If you happen to have a planet between 11 and 20 of Gemini, Cancer, Leo or Capricorn of your Vedic chart it may start on it’s own and work like a giant slingshot pulling you in one direction only to send you in another, with the blessing of the gods around you.  The trick is to move forward, but not be too attached to how it unfolds or with whom.  The potential for destined romance is strong but this combination is powerful for all sorts of relationships (Venus and Mars are key players) as well as communications.  Tonight, the Moon crosses through the ecliptic and we set the energy pieces like a great sweet soufflé.

Sunday the 20th           A quiet dreamy day to slip though a romance or science fiction piece. You could surf the net or just read a magazine.  We really do need time to take it all in and allow the sweet shift in perspective to settle in.  Don’t lose the sweetness to the news or cynical buzz of folks who get noticed for their fears.  Instead, remember that we are in a dynamic time; much like the early 60’s, and it is an exciting revolution of faith and energy that is everywhere.

Monday the 21st          It looks like slow going this morning, but by evening there is energy in your tank to spare.  This is a great evening to start a walking or exercise program.  At work, it’s a typical Monday.  Put one foot in front of the other and tamp down a good foundation.  What looks like trivial tasks really do become important when things pile on top….and they will as the week goes on.  Even if you have the day off, get the little stuff done and out of the way.  You’ll be glad you did as soon as this evening when you want to get out.

Tuesday the 22nd         A day with pleasant little surprises, particularly around the lunch hour.  If you absolutely must be on a tight schedule, give the folks you are meeting a call to be certain they are too.  Generally, with the Moon joining Uranus the playful planet of change in a lunar mansion called the “happy feet,” we are ready to get off the couch and into the excitement of the future.  The future starts today and particularly right around the lunch hour.  Hmmm, this might be a most remarkable day to accept a lunch invitation or to go out and be seen.  Of course, you do need to have your head out of your cell long enough to notice who is looking your way…smiles.

Wednesday the 23rd    This might be moody enough for a Monday and it is the middle of the week.  If you can’t find something pleasant to say, it’s probably better to keep your thoughts to yourself.  I know you really do deserve a kind ear to listen; and you really have been working hard. I’m just letting you in on a cosmic secret: very few folks are feeling generous in the listening department.  Better turn on the radio or talk to your pets.  The folks really do care; it’s just that we are all a little self focused today.

Thursday the 24th        Things are looking up.  From morning on, we are ready to get going and interact.  Everyone sees a bigger picture and tolerance is close enough to touch and abundant enough to share.  Yes, even for “those” people.  Enjoy the day, accept an invitation for the weekend or better yet, issue an invitation and line up a playful night or weekend.  If you find yourself alone tonight, tune up the cosmic collective light forces and remember that you are never alone: light is everywhere even at night it’s out there.

Friday the 25th             Venus pulls around to make a fated or destined aspect to Jupiter the great guru of the stellar sky.  Venus enters the lunar mansion Pushya.  The Hindu deity that governs this piece of the heavens is called Pushyan and he is generous, productive, smart and lucky.  Venus and Jupiter link up at 3:39am CDT but their date lasts all day and night.  If you have a sensitive planet between 19 and 23 degrees of Cancer or Sagittarius, you are in line for a playful and creative day. Don’t waste these transits by sitting alone, these two were made to interact.  The aspect they are in is great for surprises.  While this combination could spend a lot, they definitely help you feel darned lucky.  Get out and mingle.

Saturday the 26th         We come to the final lunar quarter of the month.  The Moon moves toward the Sun and the night sky becomes increasingly dark.  This is the time of rest and reflection.  That’s always true. But it is also the time and the weekend of resilience. This morning, the Moon offers a bigger or deeper perspective and suddenly disparate pieces fall together.  The Moon reaches toward Mars the planet of action and service then to Jupiter the optimist and as we face the end of the month we find the energy and optimism for a new start.

Sunday the 27th           As the Moon moves through the Pleiades, we reach for others of like mind and heart for a fresh start.  This is a soulful and introspective day, but it is also a joyful one where the power of the collective human spirit is bright and voices melodic:  It easier to find folks like you, no matter how different they appear.

Monday the 28th          A typical Monday in many ways:  Plenty of inanity to grate on your nerves.  Pettiness and political pandemonium abound, but the Moon is dark and deep.  The little things are easy to dismiss and the gift of fellowship even with “those” people is a natural extension of your good will.  A fine day for group tasks but only short meetings:  No one really wants to go over all the little stuff…again.

Tuesday the 29th          Mercury is racing through the heavens now.  Today, he pulls up onto the Sun where the Moon will catch them together with a Solar Eclipse on the 1st.  In the meantime, there are lots of ideas and plans being tossed around.  Some of them will be brilliant and with the end of July and the beginning of August, the Market gains momentum and hope keeps it moving.

Wednesday the 30th    Get off the couch and look at your situation… again.  The Moon faces Jupiter and a shift in perspective may be all you need to find the good stuff again.  Jupiter is the great teacher about luck and abundance.  He doesn’t always bring it, but he does help you remember what you hold dear…and what you have to share.

Thursday the 31st        Romance is in the air as Venus faces Neptune. These are the rose colored glasses that make the summer sky look cool and a walk in any shoe light and breezy.  It may not last, but then again, it might!  You see the sweetness in your lover’s heart and the spell lets you think wistfully of the future.  I probably won’t last, and fear stirs up the emotional pot again, but to miss the opportunity to see the good stuff in folks you know have flaws is a gift indeed.  Draw the line at seductive strangers.  Keep them at a distance until after the eclipse and better, yet, until you get some facts.

Central Themes

Mars Saturn:  one foot on the brakes and the other on the gas.  One hand on your wallet and the other in your pocket.   This combination of  spend and save, or charge then fret is a theme lately.  It’s easy to allow the fear to over ride reason and to let moments of abandon leave you regretting tomorrow.  The antidote is reason and perspective.  Look at where we are today and compare it to the past.  Times have been hard, the news has been humbling and we kept moving forward.  I remember my father used to say the difference between a recession and a depression was whether you lost your job.  That fear is everywhere, but it’s tempting to lost perspective this month so hold onto stories of success and stimulate your creativity.  If you are really stuck, get up and move.  Help someone who needs you and you will enact the best of Mars.  Do it in a structured or practical way and you’ve brought in Saturn. When these two are working together we help each other out.  It sounds like there is plenty of need along the Mississippi and plenty of jobs for insurance adjusters and contractors of all kinds.  And that is only the tip of the rebuilding iceberg.

This combination is not cheerful or playful.  It’s the dark side in a sort of self-centered chorus of woe-is-me.  Mars wants to get going but Saturn represents obstacles and there is nothing quite like the planet of action to stomp his fiery foot on the hot-cement this month and throw a fit. This month, they come together in a lunar mansion known for self entitlement and a does of arrogance.  This is ripe for lessons of patience, tolerance and perseverance.  Reach as far as you need to, to find a way to understand the other side.

Certainly, everyone who has this combination in their birth charts doesn’t throw fits…but all of us know what it’s like to want to.  We’ve all envied a 2-year-old the social understanding he gets when he erupts and everyone who’s ever known a toddler’s frustration looks knowingly at the adults and sends a peaceful smile:  It’s OK; we know he’s just getting it out…grins.  Let me give you one of the little stories I hold onto when I want to throw a fit regarding insurance, forms and frustration.  I’ve learned what it’s like to be on the back side of a wheelchair and push my recently strong, agile and mentally brilliant husband to rehab therapies and work with him to relearn how to walk, talk and swallow.  And it’s still going on.  I hold onto the truth that Tim Russert’s wife, and thousands of wives and lovers would trade places with me in a heartbeat.  And there’s no way I would let them.  So, like all the folks who understand what it’s like to want to erupt, all those who know what it’s like to be the caregiver and those who wish they had a chance to be patient and creative again.  This is your month to hold onto the gift of life and let the tantrum flow on by.  That’s where you are free to enjoy the moment.  It will pass.

Jupiter moves just 5 degrees all this month, then he stops and moves just 1 more degree through August and September, then comes back to his July position in November. That’s a great transit to reap the rewards of you good will and conscious perseverance.  It’s most obvious and opportunity ridden if Jupiter sits on one of your personal planets.  It’s almost as good if he aspects one.  One word of caution, don’t take him for granted, write down your big ideas, follow through with your meditations and prayers,  Expand your knowledge while you share with others. Maybe you have a planet under his expansive light.  The strongest have a planet between 15 and 25 of Sagittarius, after that it’s Gemini, then Aries or Leo.  Look at your Vedic chart to see what you’re learning and teaching.  Don’t give-up yet, if you happen to have a planet between 16 and 26 of Cancer or Taurus, you may be the luckiest of all, but it might not take flight until August of later.

The last week is the eclipse wobble:  The last week of the month is deep and sensitive in a good way.  We are aware of our importance to each other. The visible planets with the exception of Jupiter are in the constellations Cancer and Leo.  Jupiter sit in Sagittarius where he is strong and

How the Money Flows:  erratically and the Market reflects the roller coaster of emotion…again. It should go up before it comes down then go up again and bounce.  September is when it should calm down for a longer, upward, run.

Where the Love Grows:  It grows easily the first week…just like money.  Then fear gets in the way of flow.  This is the perfect month to put the action of love into play.

The Race:  Things are generally calm in the Presidential race this month.  Finally we have birth times for both nominees.  Born August 29th 1936 in Coco Solo Colon, Panama:  McCain’s mother gave his time as 11am on a campaign ad.  To counter internet gossip, an Obama campaign staffer posted the Democrat’s birth certificate.  So now we know he was born August 4th, 1961 at 7:24pm in Honolulu, HI, USA.    This month we set aside resentment and embrace our party’s nominee.  No point in arguing: ”He’s not what he seems…” to me.  I know that political candidates aspire to the persona that got them the nod and it is up to We The People to expect nothing less from them, and to hold members of the House and Senate to the task of making the promises a reality as our representatives.  It’s not us versus them:  It’s them as representatives of US.  This is a most exciting election year!  The conventions will be lively, just July is pretty quiet after the speeches on the 4th.

July finds Saturn sitting on McCain’s Sun for the entire month.  This is the 3rd and final pass of this transit.  As we can see, Saturn, the planet of age and endurance has served him well.  He has certainly outlasted his opponents.  Interestingly, Saturn is squaring (stressful transit) Obama’s Moon.  This is an introspective, pensive and even moody transit.  I don’t think either candidate will be looking for a fight this month.  I’m betting they both take some time off and the mystery of their running mates alive.  <For more information on the Race this summer, go to Your Summer Stars on my site or www.holisticnetworker.com
